✈️
I thought about where I would take my son Yair, who is celebrating a bar mitzvah (and the presenter of most of the photos ๐Ÿ˜š), for a traditional father-son trip.

Trip itinerary:
  • ✈ Flight - Norwegian Airlines direct flight to Copenhagen
  • ๐Ÿš˜ Transportation - Car rental for a week, pick up and return from Copenhagen airport
  • ๐ŸŽฏLocation - 3 nights in Billund and 4 nights in Copenhagen
  • ⛈ Weather - a combination of autumn, spring, summer, and winter in one day.
  • ๐ŸŒž Sunset - an amazing advantage that sunset is at 21:30

Attractions list according
to the location on the map

1. Lego House
A huge building that combines Lego and hi-tech. Kjaald Kirk Christiansen, the grandson of Lego founder Ole Kirk Christiansen wanted to gather all the ideas and creations of his family in one house that would activate the imagination, the desire and the passion of people to play with Lego.

The house includes several areas of experience: red for creativity, blue for cognitive abilities, green for friendships and yellow for the world of emotions, huge play areas for children, a hall for Lego fans who publish their creations, and also a unique basement, where there is a history of Lego.

Every visitor receives a bracelet at the entrance to the house, and there is an electronic station in every corner. When you attach the bracelet to it, you can see where we are, what we have done so far, where we can go and even what characters we have built.

So we built characters, made a movie, played with Lego and played with Lego again.

2. Legoland
The main reason we went to Denmark was Legoland. We had so much fun and spent time there from opening to closing.
Legoland is a chain of theme parks, all of which focus primarily on Lego toys.
The Legoland Billund Resort was opened in Billund, Denmark in 1968.
The park in Billund is the oldest Legoland park. It was built next to the original Lego factory and is divided into ten different worlds.

6. Agaskov Castle
A castle located in the south of Finn Island, Denmark. Most of the Danish nobility built their houses as fortresses. The castle is located in a small lake whose maximum depth reaches 5 meters. Originally, the only entrance to it was with the help of a drawbridge.

According to the legend, an entire forest of oaks was required to build the foundations, hence the castle's name, Agaskov, which means "forest of oaks."

The castle is made of two buildings connected by a thick double wall, which allows its defenders to abandon one house and continue fighting from the other house. The double wall is a meter thick and contains a well and hidden staircases. The defenders could attack the enemy lines from two round-corner towers. Other medieval defenses include loopholes.

You can easily spend half a day in the castle. There are a large number of displays of cars, motorcycles, a helicopter, and two airplanes that until now I did not understand the connection to the place.

The citadel is one of the best preserved citadels in Northern Europe, and although it is an active military installation, it is open to the public. A point not to be missed is the gaff fountain.
Sculptor Andreas Bungdard designed the fountain that features the Norse goddess Gaphion. According to legend, she turned her sons into oxen and plowed enough land to create Zeeland, the island on which Copenhagen is located.
