I've visited Pune several times for work and have used weekends to explore the city and experience its unique vibe.

Seat belts and helmets are rarely used, and children are often seen riding on motorcycles without safety measures. Drivers in India are known for their competitive approach, constantly trying to overtake one another in any direction possible, regardless of the road. Itโs a chaotic, honking-filled experience, as every driver seems to have their own idea of how to navigate traffic. In Pune, tuk-tuks are commonly used, offering an alternative to other modes of transportation like taxis. Crossing the road can feel like a risky adventure, but the city offers convenient options like taxis or hired drivers for those seeking a safer alternative.

The mall located in the northwest of the city, smaller than Phoenix Mall but still home to many popular brand stores like Adidas, Nike, and Puma. Prices here are relatively high compared to what you might expect in India.

It also has an extensive food court with various international and local cuisine options, making it a great place for food lovers. For entertainment, Phoenix Market City has a multiplex cinema and various recreational activities. Itโs a popular hangout spot for locals and visitors alike, offering everything from shopping to dining and entertainment.
